June 22-August 17 Creative Dance for Mothers & Daughters (ages 6 & under) Tuesdays, 9:30-10:20 a.m. Morning Belly Basics Tuesdays, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Exercise Room at Gainesboro Elementary 5629 N. Women and Teens (age 12+) This introduction to Belly Dancing will focus on learning the isolations that make up every Belly Dance - isolations, shimmies, hip movements and traveling steps. Additional topics to be determined based on the students who sign up for this course so that it will be a new experience with new material for everyone. A simple choreography will be taught. No special equipment is needed - just wear something comfortable that you can move and stretch in. Easy yoga stretches are incorporated at the end of the class. Bring a towel or exercise mat. | Cancellations and/or Foul Weather Policy Please call 540-665-5678, follow the prompts to 3 (general programs). If a decision is made to cancel a class during the day that information will be on the line after 3pm Monday-Friday. If a decision is made to cancel after 5pm, updates to the line are made as quickly as possible. Typically, if it is snowing outside, and the roads are slick, then classes will be cancelled. Miramar sends out an e-mail to students when classes are cancelled and also tries to contact them by the telephone number that students provide to her for such situations. |
